Merle Norman Makeover

Before and After:
Step 1 and 2: Hydrate! Apply Foundation* lightly with a foundation brush for best results. (*Timeless foundation with the Foundation brush)

Step 3: *Conceal, Conceal, Conceal! Apply under eyes, around lips and above the brow for an instant lift! To achieve a more fresh and dewy look, apply with your finger using a light touch.(*Coverup)

Step 4: *Powder. With such a dewy foundation, you need powder to set the whole look and for less transfer on clothes. Dust EVERYWHERE! Use a more hydrating powder in order to not look cakey! (*Flawless Effects Powder)

Step 5: *Blush and *Bronzer. Due to my pale skin, I use bronzer year round. I have a summer bronzer which is more bronze and a winter bronzer which is more of a light brown. I dust on cheekbones, temples, nose, chin and blend. I always apply blush, as well as, bronzer, even in the summer for a more natural effect. I like a more "doll" look so I pick a pink/coral color (such as Sheer Blush) with NO shimmer(shimmer on your cheeks for everyday can tend to make you look too shiny) and apply on the apples (the fullest part) of the cheeks and blend. (*"Purely Minerals in Copper Radiance) and Sheer Blush)

Step 6: Eyes and Eyebrows. For brows, I apply colored brow gel (Tinted Brow Sealer) first and then a brow powder for all day wear. I give them clean lines and color in like real hair. Eyes: always start with an eyeshadow base (shadow base) This will hold all day, even if you use a cream shadow. Apply from crease to lid in a burgundy/rose shade (Bordeaux) for a fall look everyone can wear. Apply a dark/cool shade brown with little to no shimmer(Chocolate) to create your crease. Smoke into your crease, a little onto your brow bone itself, and with angled brush put along your lash line on upper and lower lashes. Blend with a warm rose/brown color(Buff) to keep it warm and soft. To brighten your eyes put a light shimmer color (Sunbeam) onto your browbone, under the brow and put a creamy gold(Gold Shimmerstick) color in the corner of your eyes and under the eye blending with your finger up and under for an added pop and fall shine.

Step 7: Liner and Mascara. For added drama and warmth, use two eyeliners. Use a warm purple creamy liner (Earthy soft touch liner)along entire upper lid in a thick fashion and blend with a liner brush. For extra definition, add a jet black liner(Blackout soft touch liner) in a slim line along the upper lashes and for added drama in the inside lower lash line. Curl lashes and add lots and lots of black mascara.

Step 8: Add lipstick and gloss. Apply needed powder and concealer for finishing touches and your done!!
